I would like to take this time to brag a little bit. from the day I was born until now this has been a special name. It come in different ways. Presch, Precious, or even Lil Precious. I lost the last one when my baby giorl was born. These are names my Mamma mimmie gave me. I love it when she calls me this. I just smile. So i read a devotion today about being precious in his sight and it made me think of my grandma. She is so precious in his sight. She grew up in a very small town in Florida. Her family was very poor and they all lived a very very hard life. I really have never heard of anything so bad. This women has so much drive. She did great in school and pushed herself to not live that life. She became a Nurse right out of high school. Gott married. Had four kids. Worked while having four kids. She worked hard. She has worked at Riverside General, Hemet Valley hospital and many other side jobs. She only quit working a year ago. She is 71 years old. She did not want to quit but lost vision in one eye and can not read. She has had cancer 3 times and has diabetes, kindey disease and other health problems. up until a few months ago I lived with her. When I was young we ALL lived with her there was a time that there were 12 of us in a three bedroom house at one time 4 women(My grandma, My mom, Aunt Sue and Aunt Michelle) and 8 kids(myself, my sister Liz, Sister Dawn, Brother Ed, cousins Ashley, Michael, Kelley and Josh) Nobody paid rent just split the utilities. She has taught my family something more important than any other gift. The gift of giving and hospitality. She loves us all so very much. Grandma I can only pray that I am one day as much of a women as you are. I love you and thank you for my name that makes me feel Precious in every way. Thank you for my new house too, I am so happy I can keep that house thathoused us all in the family. I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sweetie, you were your grandma's first grandchild. I was BARELY sixteen when I told her I was pregnant and she cried the rest of the day, I felt so bad. We lived with her until you were 6 months old. She worked night shift at that time and every morning when she came home from work she came in to see you. When we moved out she would come over to see you before she went home to go to bed. Remember when Logan was a baby and you & Jay lived with us and she would stop by on her way home from Hemet to love on him. Yah, my mom can get pretty awnry sometimes but, really she's a lover. That must be where I got it from. Oh, and by the way it's ok to brag a little you are precious to Him, to me and to your mamma mimmie. I LOVE YOU!!!!!

That was so sweet. What a beautiful nickname to have. And what is even more beautiful is the woman who blessed you with it. You just don't know touched I was to hear that your grandma wanted to give me her blue pitcher. I was blown away that she would remember me! It now sits on my buffet with the rest of my pottery that my beloved mama has given me over the years. I will treasure it!
I just have to say, I got a little giggle over the fact that you lived with your grandma and all your aunts and cousins. You guys were livin' Beaner style! LOL I love it! There is nothing like some family togetherness...it just brings you closer. :)
